I have always had an interest in pictures but it was not until a friend and I decided to take some photography classes that my interest became a passion. Wanting to become more that a “point and shoot” photographer, it’s been through many classes, lectures, workshops, and expeditions that I have learned to understand the power of the camera, the importance of light, and how to see the scene, and thus with that, how to compose the picture through the camera lens. I want to capture the real moment, not have to go back and create or fix a scene using computer software. I want to be a “real” photographer and that is what I am proud to share and show.

I am a public school librarian, retired after 34 years of being indoors in libraries with no windows. To be outdoors, seeing and exploring the world with my camera is now my joy and adventure.
